Weekend Rock Question: What’s the Best Solo Paul Simon Song?
Paul Simon released the new LP Stranger to Stranger earlier this year, which he supported with a nationwide tour that wrapped up with a two-night stand at Forrest Hills Stadium in his childhood town of Queens. He's off to Europe in October, but his plans beyond that are unclear, and he's flirted with the idea of retirement in recent interviews.
Now we have a question for you: What is the best song from Paul Simon's solo career? That basically just means we aren't going to count anything by Simon and Garfunkel. Feel free to vote for a big 1970s hit like "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard" and "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," a Graceland tune like "You Can Call Me Al" and "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" or something more recent, such as "Wristband" and "Rewrite." Pick whatever Paul Simon song you want, but please only vote once and only for a single selection.
