Hardwell Eyes World Record for Biggest Guest List With Charity Concert

Dutch house producer Hardwell is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for “World’s Biggest Guest List” at a December 13th show in Mumbai, India, granting fans free access via his personal guest list. The concert also doubles as a springboard for Hardwell’s newly established charity project, the United We Are Foundation – named after his debut LP, United We Are.

The United We Are Foundation was established by the producer and electronic music agency Anna Agency. According to a statement from the agency’s CEO, Anna Knaup, the foundation aims to “educate young children in different communities around the world” via a “magic bus” program – first in India, then traveling through different countries.

Hardwell will donate all earnings from the event to the United We Are Foundation and United Welfare Trust, who will distribute the revenue to raise funds for the education of children in India.

“Dance music has the power to make a social difference,” says Shailendra Singh, founder of United Welfare Trust, in a statement. “By partnering the United We Are Foundation with United Welfare Trust in India, we will be able to take thousands of India’s most in need children all the way from childhood to livelihood. This movement will start in India and explode further around the world.”

“Dance music has no gender, class or creeds,” Hardwell says in a video announcing the charity. “Whenever I’ve performed in India, I’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of love from the Indian fans. Their passion, their energy – it makes me grateful that I’m able to do what I love every single day. So I thought it was time to give something back.”
