Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban to Headline Las Vegas Festival
After rolling sevens with last year’s Route 91 Harvest Festival, the event organizers are bringing the three-day country music blowout back to Las Vegas. Slated for October 2nd through 4th, the festival features two stages and some of the genre’s most bankable stars — Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw and Keith Urban have all been confirmed as headliners.
The supporting lineup, led by Jake Owen and Lady Antebellum, is heavy on new talent, with Route 91′s “Next From Nashville” stage devoted to spotlighting up-and-coming acts. Skynyrd-meets-country-radio outfit A Thousand Horses, guitar ace Frankie Ballard, tent revivalist Drake White and meteoric hitmaker Thomas Rhett are all on the bill, along with Easton Corbin, Brett Eldredge, the Cadillac Three, Gloriana, Chase Rice and Nineties veteran Mark Chesnutt. Additional acts will be announced later.
The Route 91 Harvest Festival is staged at MGM Resorts Village at the southern end of the Strip, allowing for a neon backdrop of the lights of Las Vegas Boulevard. Last year’s event, which drew more than 20,000 fans, was highlighted by star turns from Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert (who wowed country radio executives in Nashville this week with a Nineties throwback concert). This year’s headliners Florida Georgia Line performed a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday and are currently on a European tour, while Keith Urban delighted night owls with a midnight performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium Thursday night.
