Kendrick Lamar took home two awards during last night’s “2013 BET Awards”

+ Kendrick Lamar took home two awards for Best New Artist and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the “2013 BET Awards.” He also gained another win for his collab on A$AP Rocky‘s “F—– Problems.” Miguel won Best R&B/Pop Artist and Nicki Minaj scored Best Female Hip-Hop artist for the fourth consecutive year. + Congratulations to Jessica Simpson and her fiancé Eric Johnson on the birth of their second child, Ace Knute Johnson! It’s the couple’s first son. His sister, Maxwell Drew Johnson, was born a little more than a year ago. (MTV News)

+ Over the weekend, reports circulated that Avril Lavigne and Nickelback‘s Chad Kroeger got married in France. However, according to US Weekly, a source said they had a wedding party, but technically were not married yet. The ceremony will reportedly take place today. (US Weekly)

+ Watch Lady Gaga perform the national anthem a capella and listen to her moving speech at New York City’s Gay Pride rally kick-off at Pier 26. It was Gaga’s first public appearance since her hip surgery in February. (Billboard)

+ Demi Lovato takes fans behind the scenes of her “Made In The USA” video, which she co-directed. “My goal was to take you through this story of this young couple and they meet each other at a carnival, they fall head over heels in love,” she explains in the clip. (Just Jared Jr.)

+ Justin Bieber goes shirtless (surprise, surprise!) in a special issue for US Weekly, which is out now. What is a little surprising is he confessed to wanting to “get married and start a family” while he’s still young. (US Weekly)
